Getting married in Bali or another overseas paradise!
Fantastic! What a great way to celebrate the joining of two lives than an overseas wedding with family and friends and an awesome holiday thrown into the mix for good measure! Before jetting off to your overseas destination, think about getting legally “hitched” in Australia before (or after the event). If you decide to marry in Bali for example, your marriage will come under the legal jurisdiction of the Indonesian Government. This may be difficult and can pose legal complications in the future.
I strongly recommend to all my clients traveling overseas for a wedding, that they complete all the legal requirements here in Perth. I prepare all the paperwork for you, conduct a quick 5 minute ceremony in front of your two witnesses and then you can jet off to your dream wedding overseas in the complete confidence that your marriage is legal.
We still need to complete the NOIM (Form 13) 1 month and 1 day prior to your “wedding day”…..the day I marry you (not your overseas wedding) and if there is not enough time before you go, you can always get legally married when you get back home and still have the fun and romantic wedding ceremony in another country.
